Starbucks Korea is set to open the ‘Gana Art Park’ store on July 31st, located on Kwon Yul-ro, Jangheung-myeon, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do. This special store reflects various lifestyles and offers a unique experience to customers.
The Gana Art Park store is Starbucks Korea’s first art collaboration store, providing art pieces and diverse artistic experiences in partnership with ‘Print Bakery,’ Korea’s largest art agency.
The store features a total of 187 seats, including 56 on the first floor, 89 on the second floor, and 42 on the terrace. The first floor includes a dedicated exhibition space for artists associated with ‘Print Bakery.’
To celebrate the opening, a special exhibition by ‘Cheong Shin,’ an artist who recently collaborated with Starbucks on an art MD collection, will be held.
The customer space within the store will display artworks that reinterpret the Starbucks story.
Notably, the walls, pillars, and ceiling of the Gana Art Park store will showcase NFT artwork by artist Dada’s, digital paintings by artist Kim Tae-jung, sculptures by artist Kwak Cheol-an, and installations by artist Shin Ye-jin. Outside, works by artist Lim Ji-bin will be displayed.
The second floor has been transformed into an artistic interior design, emphasizing the store’s unique concept by renovating an old villa’s ‘attic.’
Starbucks plans to develop the Gana Art Park store into a creative playground for young artists through various exhibitions.
Special beverages, food items, and MD products exclusive to the Gana Art Park store will also be launched. These include special drinks like the Strawberry Glazed Cream Frappuccino and Injeolmi Cream Latte, as well as the ‘Ganasu House Cake,’ which is shaped like the building.
Additionally, to commemorate the store opening, an event will be held where customers who purchase over 30,000 KRW, including handcrafted beverages, will receive a limited edition Art Bearista stamp.
Starbucks’ special stores are designed to provide unique experiences by adding Starbucks’ distinct identity to special locations. The newly opened Gana Art Park store is the 9th special store.
Currently, there are eight special stores operating nationwide, including The Jeju Songdang Park R, The Yeosu Dolsan DT, The Yangpyeong DT, The Bukhansan, The Bukhangang R, Ewha Womans University R, Gyeongdong 1960, and Daegu Jongro Gotaek.
Hong Sung-wook, Starbucks’ store development manager, said, “We planned this special store to provide a new experience for customers by creating a more beautiful and warm space where Starbucks meets art. We hope that the Gana Art Park store will become a beloved space where art breathes by continuously showcasing works by young artists.”
