Booz Allen Ventures, the investment subsidiary of the American consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, announced on July 11 that it has invested in Quindar, a startup developing AI for autonomous satellite operations.
Quindar, founded in Denver in 2022 by engineers from OneWeb, is developing AI solutions for operating satellite constellations with minimal human intervention.
The investment amount has not been disclosed.
Chris Bogdan, Senior Vice President and leader of the space business sector at Booz Allen Hamilton, expressed confidence in the investment, stating, “Quindar’s solution is exactly what our Department of Defense (DoD) clients need.”
He added, “There is a growing demand from federal agencies for industry assistance to accelerate innovation and modernize existing satellite and ground systems.”
Booz Allen Hamilton continues to expand its investments in space technology.
In January of this year, Booz Allen Ventures also participated in the Series A-1 round of funding for Albedo, a U.S. startup that produces very-low Earth orbit satellite constellations.
